Upon Being Admitted to UConn:
Mid-April:
- The New Student Orientation packet is mailed to you
- Find 2 to 3 Orientation sessions that are right for you. Check your calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts with the sessions you choose
- Fill out your Orientation Reservation Form with your 2 or 3 session choices and send it in, along with payment, to the address on the form
By June 10:
- Submit your on-line Housing Application (Freshmen only)
- Consider applying for a Learning Community if you will be living on campus. Determine which Learning Community may interest you and apply on-line. Space is limited, so apply early at the Learning Communities website

By July 15:
- Submit your online Housing Application (Transfer students only)
- Submit your roommate request through the Personal Preference page in MyHousing (Freshmen and Transfers)
- Return the required Health History Forms, including proof of meningitis immunization
- If you are a transfer student, submit any final, official transcripts with your Spring 2008 grades to the Transfer Admissions Office
- Consider a Learning Community: Determine which Learning Communities may interest you, and apply on-line. Space is limited, so apply early at the Learning Communities website
By August 1:
- Pay UConn tuition and fee bill (Late payments incur a $50 fee)
By September 15:
- If you are waiving the University-sponsored health insurance plan, submit health insurance waiver
At Least 1 Week Before Your Orientation:
(This date will vary depending on which session you attend.)
- Complete Part 2 of the Technology Tutorial
- Review the Course Placement website and, if applicable, complete the Calculus Readiness Survey
