My New Husky To-Do List

Upon Being Admitted to UConn:

• Complete Part 1 of the Technology Tutorial in order to activate your NetID and HuskyMail account and to learn how to log into the Student Administration System
• Check your HuskyMail account on a regular basis
• If you want to apply for financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For official filing deadlines, visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. If you have submitted a FAFSA, you can log into the Student Administration System to check the status of your financial aid application

Early November:

• The New Student Orientation packet is mailed to you if you paid the $150 acceptance fee
• Find an Orientation date that is right for you. Check your calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts with the sessions you choose. New students register for classes at Orientation
• Call the UConn Orientation Office at (860) 486-4866, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to register for an Orientation session

By November 30:

• Submit your online Spring 2010 Housing Application

By January 1, 2010:

• Return the required Health History Forms, including proof of meningitis immunization
• If you are a transfer student, submit any final, official transcripts with your Fall 2009 grades to the Transfer Admissions Office

By January 8:

•  Pay UConn tuition and fee bill (Late payments incur a $50 fee)

By January 25

• 2010-2011 Housing Application due online at www.reslife.uconn.edu

By February 5:

•  Submit health insurance waiver if you are waiving the University-sponsored health insurance plan

March 1:

• FAFSA deadline

At Least 1 Week Before Your Orientation:

(This date will vary depending on which date you attend.)

• Complete Part 2 of the Technology Tutorial
• Review the Course Placement website and, if applicable, complete the Calculus Readiness Survey
