Dining
UConn students enjoy buffet-style meals seven days a week in our campus dining centers, which include five food court-style cafés. Dining facilities are located in or nearby each residence hall, and your UConn ID card provides easy access to all of them.
Our dining locations offer a variety of entrees, which always include vegetarian or vegan options. You’ll enjoy soup and salad stations, fresh fruit and vegetables, pasta, wok entrees, traditional meals and an assortment of home-baked desserts and breads.
The Towers dining complex features a kosher kitchen with certified kosher food specialists. Through advance arrangements with dining hall managers, all dining halls can provide kosher entrees. There is also a halal menu offered at the Towers dining complex.
Meal Plans
Students who plan to live on campus can select a UConn meal plan on their Housing Application.
Commuters may also choose a meal plan that allows them to eat in a residence hall or at a University-run eatery.
Meal plans are active when school is in session. All food purchased in UConn resident dining areas must be eaten inside the facility. However, each meal plan option includes flex passes and points that give you access to food choices outside the resident dining areas.
Flex Passes
Flex passes can be used for guest meals or applied toward value meals at Dining Services' fast-food Grab & Go locations. Your value meal can be a combination of a sandwich or pizza, along with fruit and a beverage. Additional choices are available.
Points
Meal plan points allow you to charge à la carte food purchases to supplement your selected meal plan. À la carte food includes coffee, sandwiches or other small items that can be purchased at Grab & Go locations, on-campus cafes or other University dining areas.
