Honors Program
Approximately seven
percent of the UConn undergraduate student body is enrolled
in our nationally recognized Honors Program. By joining UConn’s
Honors Program you become part of a tight-knit community of
the most talented, successful and intellectually gifted students
that attend the University.
Program participants
enroll in smaller honors-only classes that are structured
to include a high level of interactivity among you, your professors
and other academically curious students. Honors students also
build community through Honors residence halls, and participate
in extracurricular events sponsored by the Honors Program.
Admission to the University’s Honors Program is by invitation only. Eligibility is traditionally based on class rank, secondary school records and SAT or ACT scores. In recent years average SAT scores of students invited into the Honors Program have approached 1400.
